Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the crumbled sausage and shredded cheese.
- Pour the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly, then drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the sausage.
- Feel free to add other ingredients like diced peppers or onions for extra flavor.
