Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Preheat the waffle iron and grease it lightly.
  6. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
  7. Remove the waffles and let them cool slightly before frying.
  8. Heat oil in a pan and fry the waffles until crispy on both sides.
  9. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
