A quick and delicious recipe for caramelized onion grilled cheese that can be made in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients

- 4 slices of bread
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt, cooking until they are soft and caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- While the onions are cooking, butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Once the onions are caramelized, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, place two slices of bread, buttered side down, and add half of the cheese on top.
- Add the caramelized onions over the cheese, then top with the remaining cheese and the other slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- Feel free to add additional ingredients like spinach or tomatoes for extra flavor.
- Use a non-stick skillet for best results.
