- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the uncooked rice evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice.
- Pour the soup mixture over the chicken and rice, ensuring everything is well coated.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken in your favorite seasoning before cooking.
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
