Description

An easy and delicious dessert treat made with apples and cinnamon.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of apple pie filling
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the apple pie filling.
  4. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon over the cake mix.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top.
  6. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
  • Can substitute apple pie filling with fresh apples for a homemade version.
