Description

A soothing, metabolism-boosting tea made from apple peels, fennel, and cinnamon. Ideal for digestion and a calming nightly ritual.


Ingredients

  • Peels from 2 organic apples (Fuji or Granny Smith preferred)
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp whole fennel seeds
  • Juice from 1/4 lemon
  • Optional: 1 tsp raw honey (after steeping)

Instructions

  1. Rinse apple peels thoroughly and place in a small pot.
  2. Add water, cinnamon stick, and fennel seeds.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, squeeze in lemon juice, and cover to steep another 5 minutes.
  5. Strain into a mug and add honey if using.
  6. Drink warm, ideally 30–60 minutes after dinner.

Notes

This tea was tested in Italy, Thailand, and Georgia. Universally loved for its digestive and sleep benefits. Adjust spices to taste.
