Description
A fun and adorable recipe for mini cheese balls shaped like baby chicks, perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup carrot sticks
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
- Once chilled, take small portions of the cheese mixture and roll them into balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Using your fingers, shape the balls slightly to create a more oval shape for the chick’s body.
- Press a slice of black olive onto the top of each cheese ball to create the chick’s eyes.
- Insert small pieces of carrot sticks into the top of the cheese balls to create the beak.
- Place the finished cheese balls on a serving platter and garnish with chopped chives to resemble grass.
