- 10 oz Small flour tortillas (About 10-12 fajita-sized tortillas)
- 8 oz White cream cheese (Softened to room temperature)
- 2 cups Shredded cooked chicken breast
- 2 tbsp Cooking oil (For brushing)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 2 tbsp Fresh green cilantro (Finely chopped for garnish)
- 0.5 tsp Red paprika (For dusting)
- 1 medium Ripe avocado
- 0.25 cup Sour cream
- 1 tbsp Lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it lightly with cooking spray or oil.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, garlic powder, and kosher salt in a mixing bowl.
- Stir until all ingredients are well blended into a creamy filling.
- Take a tortilla and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture onto the center.
- Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling, folding in the sides as you go.
- Place the rolled taquito seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling until all are rolled.
- Brush the tops of the taquitos lightly with cooking oil and sprinkle with red paprika for added color.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
- Garnish with finely chopped cilantro before serving.
- Mash the ripe avocado and mix it with sour cream and lime juice for a delicious dipping sauce.
