- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Add chopped nuts if desired.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra sweetness, drizzle with icing after baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
