Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar to the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
