- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1/2 cup sliced bananas for topping
- 1/4 cup crushed walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, mashed bananas, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
- Let the cake cool completely, then spread the whipped topping over the top.
- Garnish with sliced bananas and crushed walnuts if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use very ripe bananas.
- This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
- Feel free to substitute the walnuts with your favorite nuts or omit them entirely.
