Description

Delicious banana waffles topped with homemade caramel sauce, perfect for a spring breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel)
  • 1/4 cup butter (for caramel)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, salt, milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
  3. Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it.
  4. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until golden brown.
  5. For the caramel sauce, in a saucepan, heat sugar over medium heat until it melts and turns golden brown.
  6. Carefully add heavy cream and butter to the melted sugar, stirring until smooth.
  7. Serve the waffles warm, drizzled with homemade caramel sauce.
