- 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained

Instructions
- In a bowl, mash the black beans with a fork and mix in garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mashed black bean mixture on one slice of bread.
- Top with shredded cheese and place the other slice of bread on top.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
