- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, blueberries, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough and roll it up tightly.
- Cut the rolled dough into equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Let the buns rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For a sweeter bun, add more sugar to the dough.
- These buns can be frozen after baking for up to 3 months.
- Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
