Description

A warm and comforting breakfast dish that combines creamy custard-soaked brioche with hints of vanilla and cinnamon, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of brioche bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Tear the brioche bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in the prepared dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Pour this mixture evenly over the bread pieces.
  4. Gently press down on the bread to make sure all pieces are soaked in the egg mixture.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and let it sit for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
  6. Bake covered for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden and puffed.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using sugar substitutes like Stevia or Monk Fruit.
