Description

Brookies are a delightful combination of brownies and cookies, offering the best of both worlds in one delicious treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. In another bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions, adding the water as needed.
  8. Pour the cookie dough into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of the brownie batter on top of the cookie dough, swirling gently with a knife.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
