- 1 cup sugar

- 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Cook honey in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns dark and fragrant; allow it to cool slightly.
- Cream together sugar and butter in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in the cooled burnt honey, orange zest, and orange juice.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the honey mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form for the cream.
- Serve slices of the cake with a dollop of burnt honey cream on top once the cake is cool.
