A simple and fun recipe to make delicious cake pops at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of cake mix
- 1 cup of frosting
- Chocolate or candy melts
- Sprinkles
- Lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions and bake.
- Once the cake is cooled, crumble it into a large bowl.
- Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and then insert it into a cake ball.
- Coat each cake pop in the melted chocolate and add sprinkles if desired.
- Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam block or a cake pop stand to set.
