Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Heat milk and butter in a saucepan until warm.
  3. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Incorporate the egg and knead until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  6. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, strawberries, and vanilla in another bowl until smooth.
  7. Roll out the risen dough and cut it into circles.
  8. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle.
  9. Fold and seal the edges of the circles.
  10. Place the buns on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. Allow to cool, then serve and enjoy!
