- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Heat milk and butter in a saucepan until warm.
- Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Incorporate the egg and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, strawberries, and vanilla in another bowl until smooth.
- Roll out the risen dough and cut it into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold and seal the edges of the circles.
- Place the buns on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool, then serve and enjoy!
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and allow the dough to rise properly for fluffy buns.
