Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, sour cream, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir in the dried chamomile flowers and lemon zest until evenly incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, milk, and lemon juice to create the icing. Adjust the milk to achieve your desired consistency.
- Drizzle the icing over the cooled cookies and let it set before serving.
