Description

A delicious twist on classic onion rings, these are stuffed with cheesy bacon mac and cheese for a mouthwatering treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Slice the onions into thick rings and carefully separate them.
  5. Stuff each onion ring with the macaroni and cheese mixture.
  6. Dip the stuffed onion rings in beaten egg and then coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Fry the onion rings in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
