Description

A delicious and comforting casserole made with ground beef, rice, and plenty of cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in the rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
