- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup sliced olives (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, and onions to the beef. Stir and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Roll out the crescent roll dough on a baking sheet, pinching seams together to form a rectangle.
- Spread the beef mixture down the center of the dough, leaving space on the sides.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese and olives over the beef mixture.
- Cut slits on the sides of the dough and fold them over the filling, creating a braid effect.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
