- 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into circles.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on one half of each circle.
- Add a spoonful of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Fold the other half of the circle over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a golden crust, ensure the egg wash is applied evenly.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
