- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Spread the pitted cherries evenly in the bottom of the dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- Can be dusted with powdered sugar before serving.
- Substitute cherries with other fruits like blueberries or peaches if desired.
