Description

Delicious and easy-to-make cherry pie bars that are perfect for dessert lovers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, butter, salt, baking powder, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Spread the cherry pie filling over the crust.
  5. Crumb the remaining mixture over the top of the cherry filling.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

  • Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for extra indulgence.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
