  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chicken pieces and chicken broth. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
  2. Cook the chicken for about 30 minutes, or until fully cooked. Remove the chicken and let it cool, then shred the meat.
  3. Add the milk to the broth and stir well.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling mixture into the simmering broth. Cook for about 15 minutes, or until the dumplings are fluffy and cooked through.
  6. Add the shredded chicken and mixed vegetables (if using) back into the pot. Stir gently to combine and heat through.
