Description

A delicious and easy recipe for Chicken Satay served with a flavorful Thai Peanut Sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water
  • For the Thai Peanut Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add chicken strips to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Grill the chicken skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  6. While the chicken is grilling, prepare the Thai Peanut Sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a bowl and mixing until smooth.
  7. Serve the grilled chicken satay with the Thai Peanut Sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
  • Adjust the spiciness of the sauce by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with fresh vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
