- 1 box of Jello (any flavor)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 package of cake mix (vanilla or white)
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Fresh berries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
- In a bowl, dissolve the Jello in boiling water, then add cold water and mix well.
- Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions and pour into a greased baking pan.
- Bake the cake as directed and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, poke holes in the cake with a fork and pour the Jello mixture over the top.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or until the Jello is set.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh berries before serving.
Notes
- For a more festive look, use different colors of Jello.
- Make sure the cake is completely cooled before adding the Jello.
- This cake can be made a day in advance for convenience.
