Description

A delightful fusion of the classic Tres Leches Cake and churros, this Churro Three Milks Cake is rich, creamy, and perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 5 Large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk
  • 12 ounces Evaporated Milk
  • 14 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Heavy Cream, for topping
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar, for topping
  • 1/2 cup Cinnamon Sugar, for churros
  • 12 Churros


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  7. Mix until just combined.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before poking holes all over the top.
  11. Prepare the tres leches mixture and set aside.
  12. Slowly pour the tres leches mixture over the cooled cake.
  13. Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  14. Prepare the cinnamon sugar topping.
  15. Melt the butter and dip each churro into the melted butter, then coat in cinnamon sugar.
  16. Remove the cake from the refrigerator once it has chilled completely.
  17. Frost the top with whipped cream.
  18. Arrange the churros decoratively over the whipped cream.
  19. Dust the entire cake with extra cinnamon.
  20. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, chill the cake overnight to enhance the flavors and texture.
