- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, ground cinnamon, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- While the cookies are baking, prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Once the cookies are cool, drizzle the icing over the top.
