Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. Let it cool slightly, then mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  5. Using a pastry bag, pipe strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
  6. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then roll the fried churros in the mixture while still warm.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a sugar-free option, consider using stevia or monk fruit. Be mindful of the oil temperature while frying.
