Description

A delicious and hearty classic meatloaf recipe that brings comfort to your dining table.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
  3. Mix until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Spread additional ketchup on top of the meatloaf if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in chopped bell peppers or mushrooms.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Meatloaf can be frozen for up to 3 months.
