A delightful twist on chocolate cake, combining rich chocolate flavors with crunchy Oreo cookies for an unforgettable dessert experience.

- 1 package of Oreo cookies
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 batch of buttercream frosting
- 1 batch of chocolate ganache
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix the cocoa powder, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chopped Oreo cookies.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, layer the cakes with buttercream frosting in between. Frost the outside with more buttercream and drizzle with chocolate ganache.
- Decorate with additional Oreo cookies on top if desired. Slice and serve.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for better incorporation and consider chilling the ganache for a thicker drizzle.
