Ingredients
- 4 cups filtered water
- 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus petals
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (sliced)
- 1 stalk lemongrass (crushed, or 1 tbsp dried)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Juice of ½ lime (optional)
- Sweetener to taste (see note)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil.
- Add hibiscus, ginger, lemongrass, and cinnamon.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Let steep another 5 minutes for a deeper brew.
- Strain into a teapot or jar. Add lime juice if using.
- Sweeten to taste and serve warm or chilled over ice.
