Ingredients

- 4 cups bread cubes
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onion and celery, and sauté until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, apples, cranberries, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sautéed vegetables and melted butter over the bread mixture.
- Add the vegetable broth gradually, mixing until the bread is moistened.
- Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free bread.
- Feel free to add nuts for extra crunch.
- This stuffing can be made a day ahead and reheated before serving.
