Description

A flavorful twist on a classic favorite, combining steak and shrimp with Creole spices in a delicious quesadilla.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, sliced
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the steak and shrimp with Creole seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened.
  4. Add the seasoned steak and shrimp to the skillet, cooking until the shrimp are pink and the steak is cooked to your liking.
  5. Remove the mixture from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, place a tortilla and sprinkle half with cheese.
  7. Add a portion of the steak and shrimp mixture on top of the cheese.
  8. Sprinkle more cheese on top and fold the tortilla over.
  9. Cook until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted, then flip and cook the other side.
  10. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
  11. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms or spinach.
  • Serve with salsa or sour cream for dipping.
