Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and salt.
  3. Dip each mozzarella stick first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Carefully place the breaded mozzarella sticks in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the poppers and drain on paper towels.
  6. In a small saucepan, heat the maple syrup until warm.
