A simple and delicious recipe for making apple butter in a crockpot.

- 6–8 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Place the sliced apples in the crockpot.
- Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, and lemon juice to the apples.
- Stir to combine all ingredients well.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Once the apples are soft, use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
- Cook uncovered for an additional 1-2 hours to thicken, if desired.
- Transfer to jars and let cool before storing in the refrigerator.

- Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the apples used.
- For a spicier flavor, increase the amount of cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Apple butter can be canned for long-term storage.
