Description

A simple and delicious recipe for making butter chicken in a crockpot, perfect for a cozy meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot.
  2. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger on top of the chicken.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce and coconut milk.
  4. Add the butter, garam masala, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir to combine with the sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
