Description

Delicious and festive cupcakes perfect for celebrating Easter.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Food coloring (various colors)
  • Frosting (your choice)
  • Decorative sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Divide the batter into separate bowls and add food coloring to each to create different colors.
  8. Spoon the colored batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
  11. Decorate with frosting and sprinkles as desired.
