- 1 pound cake or sponge cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups fresh fruit (such as strawberries, blueberries, and bananas)
- 2 cups vanilla pudding or custard
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Layer half of the cake cubes at the bottom of a large trifle dish or bowl.
- Add a layer of half of the vanilla pudding or custard over the cake.
- Follow with a layer of half of the fresh fruit.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding, and fruit.
- Top the trifle with whipped cream and any additional fruit as desired.
- Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes before serving.
