- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
- Add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook until the cabbage is tender, about 10 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute the meat with lentils or beans.
