Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped spinach, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the baking dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add cooked ground meat to the cheese mixture for extra protein.
  • Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
