Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- ¾ cup Warm water
- 2 Tbsp Olive oil
- ¼ cup Unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried parsley)
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Combine the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl.
- Pour the warm water and olive oil into the flour mixture.
- Knead the dough in the bowl until all ingredients are fully incorporated and it forms a smooth ball.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rest for about 10-15 minutes.
- Prepare the garlic butter by melting the unsalted butter in a small saucepan and adding the minced garlic, parsley, additional salt, and black pepper.
- Roll the rested dough onto a floured surface until it’s about ¼ inch thick.
- Cut the dough into desired shapes—triangles, circles, or squares.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil if necessary.
- Cook the flatbreads in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown and puffed up.
- Brush the hot flatbreads immediately with the prepared garlic butter, ensuring each piece is generously coated.
