Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter until smooth, then add the eggnog, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with a little eggnog and nutmeg, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
