A delicious and easy recipe for making fluffy garlic naan bread at home.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add the yogurt and warm water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 1 hour.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into a ball.
- Roll out each ball into an oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and place the rolled naan on the skillet.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another minute.
- Brush the cooked naan with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic and cilantro.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add herbs or spices to the dough.
- Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the naan for the best results.
- Leftover naan can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
