Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  2. Add the yogurt and warm water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 1 hour.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  6. Roll out each ball into an oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and place the rolled naan on the skillet.
  8. Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook for another minute.
  9. Brush the cooked naan with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic and cilantro.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
