- 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup French onion soup
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Season the roast with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, sear the roast on all sides until browned.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan and top with the sliced onions and minced garlic.
- Mix together the beef broth, French onion soup, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl, and pour over the roast.
- Cover the pan with foil and roast in the oven for 3-4 hours, until the meat is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve with the pan juices and garnish with fresh thyme.
