- 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then stir in the sugar until well combined.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the cherries gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream in a saucepan until just simmering.
- Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate, stirring until smooth and glossy.
- Once the brownies are done, let them cool completely before pouring the ganache over the top.
- Allow the ganache to set before slicing into squares and serving.
