Description
A comforting side dish featuring crispy, garlic-infused potatoes that are elegantly sliced Hasselback-style.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large potatoes
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Clean the potatoes and slice them crosswise at 1/8-inch intervals, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture over the potatoes, making sure to get it into the cuts.
- Place the potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45-55 minutes or until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, brushing with more garlic butter halfway through if desired.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, chill the potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking. Optionally, add cheese in the slices during the last 10 minutes of baking.
